Ben Smith- Associate Pastor
Ben is a graduate of Southeastern College in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He has worked on staff with churches in Tennessee, and Arkansas as youth pastor and associate pastor. Ben and his wife, Annell, have been married since 1997 and have four beautiful children. August 2005, became a defining moment for the Smiths when they moved to the DFW area. At a point in life when it seemed like they were starting all over again, God had a plan for them. Ben continued working with youth, and God continued to prepare his family for ministry at Caprock. After nearly 4 years of praying and asking for God to guide them to the place He would have them minister, Ben and his family joined the family at Caprock, and later was commissioned to be the associate pastor. Outside of Caprock, Ben is a motivational speaker and speaks to nearly 30,000 students each year on the topics of sexual abstinence and drug and Alcohol awareness.
Elizabeth Aviles - Singles Minister
Elizabeth grew up in the Dallas area in a loving, Christian family. She gave her life to Christ as a child and was baptized a few years later. She attended Ouachita Baptist University and got a Bachelors of Music in piano and graduated in 2003. After graduation, she moved to Japan for three years as a missionary through the International Mission Board. After completing the Caprock Church's Leadership Training, Elizabeth is commissioned as the Singles and College Minister. She is excited about serving in the Singles and College Ministry and is looking forward to seeing the group grow closer to Christ and reaching out to those around us. She is also part of the Praise Team and plays the piano. She recently got married to Tony...Caprock's Student Minister.
Tony Aviles - Student Minister
Tony grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was born into a missionary family, where ministry was a part of his everyday life. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from the Architecture School at the University of Puerto Rico. While he studied he was also very active in church where he worked as Vacation Bible School Director and Youth Pastor. He has also participated in mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Rio Grand Valley where he has seen the hand of God work in miraculous ways. In 2010 after much prayer he felt God calling him to Texas. He is currently a Bilingual Teacher at an inner city school. Tony is extremely enthusiastic about seeing how God is going to grow the student ministry at Caprock Church. He is also the church's drummer and recently married Elizabeth...Caprock's Singles' Minister.
